Edelweiss Valley -- Ski Resort

About Edelweiss Valley

Since the year 2000, Edelweiss has been fortunate enough to be part of the large Mont Saint-Sauveur International family. Expertise acquired over the years and our concern for excellent customer service are important assets which are reflected in every aspect of your Edelweiss experience.

The Quebec ski industry was born in Saint-Sauveur-des-Monts, a small village in the Laurentians which rapidly became the cradle of skiing. In 1934, an American industrialist, Fred Pabst, installed the first permanent ski lift on Hill 70, soon to be the most famous hill in Eastern North America. Eleven joined Mr. Victor Nymark to found UPHILL LTD., a company which was to play a major role in the development of the site. In 1948, the first T-bar in North America, imported from Austria, was installed on Hill 71. Then throughout the following years, other lifts were installed from Hill 67 to Hill 72.
