Mont Orford -- Ski Resort

About Mont Orford

Mont Orford features four faces down three impressive mountains, Mont Orford, Mont Giroux and Alfred Desrochers. From atop of the three mountains, Mont Orford Tourist Resort offers a striking panoramic vista, taking in vast Lake Memphrmagog, the Appalachians, and on a clear day, up to 50 miles to the U.S. border and beyond.

Mont Orford is the highest of the three peaks rising 853 meters (2,800 feet). It offers novices a large scenic trail four km long and experienced skiers and snowboarders breathtaking runs with and without moguls.

The north face offers a singularly panoramic view, and the east face leads directly to the condos in Village Mt. Orford, nestled at the foot of the mountain. The village is served by three trails and a quad chair lift.

Mont Alfred-Desrochers rises 800 meters (2,625 feet) in the shadow of Mont Orford. The trails pass through a fir forest and are distinctly romantic.

The Parc du Mont Orford also has 50 km of cross-country trails in an outstanding wildlife area, and 10 km of snowshoe trails.

Orford lies only 30 minutes north of the U.S. border. Both Interstates 91 and 93 provide easy access from the south. Montreal is only about an hour's drive.

From Montreal take Autoroute 10 east to exits 115 and 118 and follow the signs.
